Compelling Brand Stories
There’s a watch produced by Jaeger Le Coultre known as the Reverso, so named because the rectangular watch case flips around on a hinge to reveal an alternate side. It was invented to satisfy polo players who wanted to wear their watches while on the field but were afraid of breaking the watch’s crystal.
During her tenure at Tourneau, Lilian used this story many times to entice customers into buying a Reverso. She told the story with flair and drama as she inched the watch closer to the customer. Eventually, the watch was exchanged for a credit card and a very happy customer – who would later return with their friends so Lilian could again share the story.
